Cottage Life

"I had rather be shut up in a very modest cottage with my books, my family and a few old friends, dining on simple bacon, and letting the world roll on as it liked, than to occupy the most splendid post, which any human power can give." ~Thomas Jefferson

Charlotte Lyons is a wonderful writer and designer and I was happy to be able to take one of her workshops at the last ArtFiberFest, "Enchanted Felt Cottage". This was my take on the felt cottage concept. I loved seeing all the unique creations underway in class.

This is lovely. Ah, the work that flies out of Creative Hands!
I'd move into that little house in a heartbeat, except that I'm a bit tall....

How beautiful, Suzanne - I love your little cottage and resonate with the quote you used from Thomas Jefferson.

Your cottage here is wonderful, Suzanne! The things you do with fabric, I tell ya... I can't find a link to your email on your blog and I've forgotten your addy. Anyway, I wanted to THANK YOU for the lovely necklace! What a nice surprise last night!! I adore it and will think of you whenever I wear it. When it's not around my neck, it will hang proudly in my studio. Much love,
Shari
